Thanks Jessica,

I could not be more happy! This lawsuit has thwarted any action on sidewalks for
the past 5 years. Now, we can finally move forward.

I'll be working with Councilman Krekorian's staff to set up a series of joint
committee hearings on this with Budget & Finance. Our thought right now is to
have a few regional field meetings to solicit public input. The CAO will be
releasing a report shortly that lays out all the policy questions that need to be
addressed. That will provide a good framework for the committee discussion.

If you've got a couple minutes tomorrow, can you give me a call? As of now, I
don't have a single meeting scheduled the entire day. Anytime is good.
